Summer Learning Journey: Day 4 Activity 1

Today I did the first activity for day 4 of the Summer Learning Journey. For this activity, we needed to listen to a bunch of Waiata's (Maori Songs), and choose the one that we liked the most, and explain why. I listened to quite a few songs, and found this song. I couldn't find the name for the song, but a link to the YouTube video is Here. I like this song because it has instruments as well as singing, and has a really nice tune to it.

    Hi Jack,

    This is a great waiata! Good choice. I've never heard it before so it was great to listen to the link you've included in this blog. I did a bit of Googling and found out that the waiata is called Kia Paimarie. It's a great song!

    Do you know what the words to the song mean? It's important to know what you're listening to!

    I look forward to reading more of your blog over the summer.

    Well done on completing this summer learning journey activity. The waiata that you have chosen is great. Like you, I also think the song has a nice tune to it and the singing and instruments work really well together. Keep up the awesome work Jack.
