Today I did the first activity for day 2 of the Summer Learning Journey. For this activity, we needed to compare our own house, to a Wharepuni. (This is where the Maori people would sleep). We needed to show two similarities, and two differences. So here we go.
Similarities:
Both a Wharepuni and my house have a roof and walls.
Both a Wharepuni and my house have windows and a door.
Differences:
A Wharepuni has carvings, and my house doesn't.
My house has a second story, while a Wharepuni does't.
Hey Jack,
ReplyDeleteI guess they are quite similar really, but a Wharepuni is just bigger, traditional and used for a different purpose. Do you think some Wharepuni's might have two stories? I haven't even any but I wonder if some do...?
Keep up the awesome blogging, I'm really enjoying you posts!
Nicky :)
Hello Jack
ReplyDeleteWell done on completing this summer learning journey activity. A wharepuni is also really different to my house. I wonder why it has those carvings, maybe they are special to the owner of the wharepuni? Keep up the awesome work Jack!
