Current Events

Today, we were given a challenge by our teacher to find 2 different articles to put onto a template. On this template, there are 6 boxes for the 5 W's and the H, along with 2 other boxes for the two sides of the topic, and another for you to say what you think the author wanted us to learn from the article. One of the articles needed to be local or national, while the other article needs to be international. For this task I worked with Angela, Jayden, Nidhi, and Holy, and we all had fun.

Maths: Collaborative Challenge

This week for maths, we have been given a word problem to solve in groups. Our question was, "There were 1229 students in the school. If each student received 4 pieces of fruit a week, how many pieces of fruit were handed out?" In my group there was Julian, Giovanni, Alice, Chavda, Nidhi, Angela, Holly, and Miiana. After we had solved the problem, we needed to create a DLO showing our working out. We had a lot of fun working on the DLO, and solving the problem, and we're all glad that we are given a new question every week.

Inquiry: Role Models And Heroes

This week for inquiry, we have been given a few challenges for us to complete in groups. For this challenge, we needed to create a DLO that showed what a role model and hero is. In my group I worked with Angela, Giovanni Chavda, Nidhi, Alice, Julian, Jayen, and Holly. We all had fun on this activity, and hope we can return to something like it soon.

Inquiry: How To Show That You're A Leader

This week for inquiry, we have been given a few challenges to complete in groups. For this activity, we needed to create a DLO that showed how to be a leader. For this, I worked with Angela, Nidhi, Jayden and Holly. We all had a lot fun in this activity, and we also decided to put a few pictures that we drew into each slide.

Teamwork: Creating A Sketchnote

Today as a group we have created a sketch note to define what teamwork means. We have came up with 5 ideas that defines teamwork. In our group was Giovanni, Chavda, Julian, Angela, me & Nidhi. As a team we completed this activity.

CARE Values: Presentation

Today was our first day back a school. This year, our class is made up of year sevens and year eights, and we have a few new faces to complete the class. We have been set up into groups that we will work in for the year, and the groups consist of a mix of pupils from each gender, and each year. For this activity, we needed to in our groups, think of what each of our School CARE values mean, and how they can be shown. Once thought of, we would write our answers on a template sheet of paper, and share our answers with the class. Finally, we would create a Google Presentation that would show all of our answers, and a picture of us doing exactly that. I worked with Angela and a new girl to our class named Nidhi, and we all had a lot of fun.
