This week for maths we learnt how to add and subtract fractions. Although, instead of adding and subtracting fractions with the same denominator, we this time learnt how to add and subtract fractions with different denominators. We had to must do's for this week maths, to complete a sheet of fraction problems, and to create a poster that shows how fractions are the same size. For the first part of this weeks work, there were 15 adding fractions problems, and 15 subtracting fractions problems. Every group had to do this, but my group (Delta) also had to add a simplify column to make the answer easier. To simplify an answer, we had to divide each part. For the second part to our must do, I tried to make my poster look like my usual google drawing style, and that is adding pictures of cartoon people that I create to make a scene, while still having the main part to my work. This time, I added in a scene of people playing hide and seek, and have them hiding behind or on the fractions. I really enjoyed this weeks maths work, and making the poster was definitely the best part.
