Inquiry: Our Most Favourite Roles

L.I: to classify personal relationships

This week for inquiry, we continued our must do from last week. Although, this time it was quite different. This time, we worked alone, had to add a lot more information, and had to chose three roles. These roles needed to be the roles that we enjoyed the most, and wanted to learn more of. I chose to do this on libraries / librarians, bus drivers, and ambulance drivers and attendants. I created a set layout for this presentation, and that included how much you get payed to work as that role, a fact, that same fact from a different site, and a box at the top with a text saying whether they interact with my family. I would also add in a picture that I would draw of that job. The hardest part of this activity had to be creating the ambulance.

KiwiCan: This Week's Session

This week for KiwiCan, we learnt more about respect. In my opinion, this was one of the best KiwiCan sessions, the reason why has to be what our activity was. Now, I love role play, and I am quite good at acting. So I was super excited. We had 3 props to work with, a soccer ball (Which you couldn't pretend was a ball), 2 cones, and 2 hackysacks. Although, we could only use one of the props at a time. Our first bit of role play was with the soccer ball. What we did for that was, I was a Gypsy, and Aung Naing was the one listening. That one was quite fun. The next one we did was with the cones, for that, we pretended that they were U.F.O's. Lastly, we used the hackysacks. For that, Alex and I were Aliens, and we used the hackysacks as laser guns.

KiwiSport: Badminton Session

This week for kiwi sport, we learnt something new for badminton. The new technique we learnt was called a forehand lift. A forehand lift is when you hit the shuttle in forehand grip, but tilt your wrist back a bit so that you hit it upwards, sending it behind your opponent. This is a very helpful strategy when playing in a rally. We also played a couple of rallies against a partner. My partner for this was Julian, I chose him, because I know that he has had quite a lot of experience in badminton, just like me. We had a lot of fun for this badminton session, and I hope next week's will be just as awesome.

Other: TablesTest

Today I did the first level of TablesTest. TablesTest is a small program that helps you with your times tables, but also helps you with your reflexes. To play TablesTest, you chose your level, press the Let's Go button, and you will be timed for each multiplication question. In total there are ten questions to answer, and I got them all right in 1 - 2 seconds. The challenging part of TablesTest is finding the answer, because there are multiple answers that come up, and you have to find the correct one.

Can Do: FreeRice

Today I played the synonym edition for free rice. In the end I managed to donate 600 grains of rice, meaning I answered 60 questions correctly!
