Summer Learning Journey: Day 5 : Week 1 | Activity 2

Today, I completed the second activity for day 5 of week 1 for the Summer Learning Journey. For this activity, we needed to see ourselves in the situation that we have been on a school trip with out teacher up to a tundra, and we need to send a letter to our friends, or family with a greeting e.g dear, and 6 sentences.

Dear Mum and Dad,
My trip to the tundra is going really well so far. As soon as I arrived, I was amazed. The sights we beautiful, and everything was so peaceful. The wildlife is astounding, and there are plenty of animals I had never seen before. Did you know that animals such as the Arctic Hare, and Arctic Fox. And even an animal known as a Muskox. Either way, I cannot wait to get back home, and tell you the stories I have for the ride back.

  1. Hi Jack! :D

I'm one of the commenters for the Summer Learning Journey.

Nice work on completing another activity, and you seem to be on a roll with these posts and completed activities - nice! You have written out a very intriguing letter to back home - I really feel a sense of discovery from reading about you discovering animals that you'd never seen beforehand :D and what a nice way to finish off the letter, with the want to tell the stories when you return home. Great!

Keep up the good work! Make sure you proofread your work before posting! Otherwise you've done a good job :D

  2. Hi Jack,
Great job on completing this activity! I liked how you said that in your trip you saw arctic foxes, hares and muskox. I also liked how you described the sights as beautiful and peaceful. If you could bring a family member with you, who would you choose?

If you had another trip who would you write your letter to?
