Maths: Comprehending Words

L.I to comprehend words. L.I to choose the best strategy to solve the problem. This week for maths we had to read the question, write down what the question is asking us to do, find two strategies and work out the answer to both strategies and then check to see if the answer is right and then you reflect the strategies.

Reading: Inferring The Wonders Of Flight

LI: to infer information about characters in a text.
This is a DLO about the text The Wonders Of Flight. We had to find a character in the story and we had to infer how the character felt and your proof.

Inquiry: Flight

These two weeks our inquiry is about flight and we had to make a KWL (What you think you know, What questions do you have and What have you learnt) You could choose to do your KWL about Birds, Planes, Helicopters or a Hot Air Balloon, and we chose to do it about birds.

Reading: Inferring

L.I: to learn what inferring is.

This week for reading we had to learn about inferring. Inferring is to read between the lines or explain what the text is about by getting the clues from the text itself and the text doesn't have the answer in it.

Maths: Word Problems

This week for maths we had to choose two problems and work it out with two strategies.

Writing: Narrative Parragrphs

LI: to write narrative paragraphs using Topic sentence, Details, Concluding sentence. Last term, we had to write a short narrative about the choices you were given. I chose to write a story about two cats who don't like each other and they have a cat fight. Then we had to look at an exemplar narrative to find the TEE, Title, Events and Ending. Then we had to read our story and add in the TEE. Below it shows it Unedited and Edited.
