Teaching Teachers How To Draw Using Google Drawing
On Friday after tech, Alex Nyjah and I taught a group of teachers how to use Google Drawing to create pictures, and how to use Google Slides to create animations. I along with my peers had so much fun teaching teachers, and we were very thankful for the opportunity that we were given. During the lesson, we showed everyone a presentation that we had all prepared the day before that would act as a tutorial for simple drawings. My favourite parts of the experience was meeting the teachers, and preparing the presentation as I enjoyed drawing images for examples.

Reading: Oakley Creek
Today, we had our next session of reading. For this session we read a story called Oakley Creek. This story was about a girl who wanted to go with her friends to Oakley Creek. Although our main characters (Faith) mum didn't know. It turned out because of her mothers suspicion, she followed Faith all the way to the creek. She ended up being caught. Our task after reading was to play a little game. In this game, we all drew picture on a white board defining different words based on the story. Our two words were Guilt, and Dilemma. This game was a lot of fun, and it ended up allowing us to understand the words from a whole different perspective.

Reading: Fair Trade DLO
Last week's task for reading for my group (Rakino) was to first read a story called Fair Chocolate. In this story, we learnt about what a fair trade company is, how the fair trade chocolate company gets their cacao beans, and how the chocolate companies can help the cacao farmers live better. After we'd read the story we then needed to have a learning conversation with each other on different questions regarding the story and things in it. The next thing we needed to do was create a DLO about what fair trade companies are.

Assembly: Presenting For The First Time
Today was the first assembly for Term 1 of 2019 for Panmure Bridge School. This year, I am representing my school as head student, and I am very happy that I will be able to represent the school in many ways. For this weeks assembly, Mele and I spoke in front of the school, Julian and Fui showcased the new design to our school P.E kit, and all 6 leaders received their leadership badges. In my opinion, I thought we spoke really well, and that if we can keep our composure, and speak clearly, then we can become great leaders. After the assembly, photos were taken, and smiles could be seen across all of our faces. I hope that next week, we will have just as much fun as we did today.
